Safeguarding Information for Students
Your Safety Matters
At CEDARS Short Stay School, we want every student to feel safe, respected, and supported. If something’s worrying you, whether it’s in or outside of school, you can talk to us.
What Is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means keeping you safe from:
- Physical harm
- Bullying or abuse (in person or online)
- Neglect or emotional abuse
- Being pressured to do things you don’t want to do
We want school to be a place where you feel happy and secure.
Who Can I Talk To?
If you ever feel unsafe or worried, you can speak to:
- Your teacher or support staff
- Our Safeguarding Lead: Ian Snead
- Any staff member you trust
You can also write a note, send an email, or ask for a private conversation we will always listen.
Keeping Safe Online
We talk about online safety in lessons, but here are some key tips:
- Don’t share personal info with strangers.
- Report anything that makes you uncomfortable.
- Tell an adult if you’re being bullied online.
Remember:
It’s never your fault if something bad happens. There are always adults at school who will believe you and help you.
